ok so the inner wings have been painted body colour along with the reverse side of the outer wings

so should i leave like this or use clear waxoil

it will be used in all weathers and will be a daily driver

At least the waxoyl will allow you to see if any problem areas develop, rather than have it hidden by underseal. It will just need a regular check that the waxoyl is still in place.

Mines not a daily driver but before bolting the wings on I generously Dinitrolled (like Waxoyl) the mounting flanges (and body) and allowed it to 'dry'
I found if I didn't do this the wing piping slipped out.
After the wings were on and on a hot day I injected (with a srynge) more Dinitrol into the joints in an effort to keep moisture out because those joints are lovely rot points

I'd definitely recommend using waxoyl and check paintwork regularly

Hi Dennis,

I would use clear waxoyl, as you can hardly see it, but it gives a bit of protection.
I have used clear Dinitrol on my moped (on the prone rotpoints) and will use it on my DAF as well.

If you want to use the car as a daily driver and want to keep it for a long time then it MUST be protected.

I don't see a problem with using clear waxoyl
