Morris Minor Owners Club

Just so that everyone knows what has happened to some posts that were blatant advertising, I have completly removed them and informed those who had replied to them, its causing such a fuss that I thought I would stop it in its tracks and hopefully the person concerned will respond to me as I had to delete 7 posts.
I know some don't like the T & C's of the board but we all have to abide by them as we all agree to them before posting.
If you wish to PM me feel free but I am off to the AGM shortly so my replies wont be until later.

I personally moderated 5 or 6 of these posts, and put my name by them. I also immediately sent a PM to the poster. Unfortunately as yet I have not received a response.

I completely agree - the 'free' advertising has to stamped on or it will get out of hand. I'm sure where people have had good service - they will be more than happy to mention the Companies involved on here!

But, as I have suggested before - Why not have a section for trade adverts? If the IT guys are worried about them taking up too much space then they could be "expired" after, say, 30 days and then traders could repost with their deals for the next month etc.... We need these guys - They keep our cars on the road and they pay good money to advertise in the club mag so why not accomodate them here somehow to the benefit of us all?
