Whats the most rusty car you've restored?
I thought it would be nice if some of you talented restorers could show us some 'before and after' snaps of some of your most gruelling projects and most miraculous restorations.
Show us what you got..

Talented? No ! Daft? YES :-)
This is Hannah's rear end before and after (I won't bore you with the rest of the car :-))

My brother wanted a mini but we were offered another 'minor' project! She'd been off the road for 18 years......

I had to learn to weld.....and fast!!!

This took us just over a year

all inner wings front and rear were gone........ as were all the sills, inner box sections and rear suspension mounts...

All the doors neede the same treatment

Bothe chassis legs had to go

lots of hammerite......

And learn how to spray!!

About the only original bits are the roof and the transmittion!!!! Even the colour changed!!

mrmorrisminor,
Those inner wings look good compared to my 71 pickup! I've not got round to posting pics yet, but lets say I had to cut down on sleep time to get it done (in July) ready for this year's LEO.

You've really finished it really well :D I loose enthusiasm when it comes to exterior bodywork (anything not needed for an MOT tends to get forgotten )

Thank you!! ....Well.....I am suffering from lost enthusiasm on the latest project, a pick up....and to make matters worse I got side tracked with another 4 door so I don't know what to do first!! Ebay has a lot to answer for!!

hmm - me thinks that ebay isn't the root cause of the problem ;-) (speaking as a similar sufferer of the same condition)

Anyway - Do the pick-up!! Saloons are plentiful ;-)

I think about a couple of weeks, if the wind is behind me ,it has been in a barn since 1994 ,I think it is green...

I can weld so it should be a breeze....Wish me luck... 8)
