Relays for electrics

Have just done a 5 minute rewire putting a relay in the indicator circuit as I was getting fed up with them slowwwing up when everything else is on. Only a quick bodge though and not really addressing the problem from the right angle, but I will rethink when I have time and put relays in more logical circuits! Has anyone done a documented relay bank, or should I be sharpening my pencil up?? The headlights are the obvious target, but also I find the beautifully strident horn becomes a whimper when other circuits are on, so I would probably do that. Any thoughts?

I would suggest you have problems elsewhere....
Check the earths are all okay, but I would suggest your battery or dynamo is a bit suspect....

Definitely sounds like serious charging or battery problems ! You don't need relays for these circuits - only if adding on haevy current extras. Best relay to use is the Lucas 6RA unit.

Ah-haa! Just discovered the flash rate varies as you tap the flasher unit (new 2 months ago!). Fitting the relay temporarily fixed it, presumably the associated wiggling of the spade connectors having an influence. Another duff new electrical part (sighs)!
