Re Electrical fault.

Post by ruislipboy »

Little while ago I asked about help with the wiring when putting an alternater on my two door morris minor. Have not been able to do much have been ill. But I tried the car to night and I now find that I have no wipers and no oil light and no blower on the heater. The left hand fuse kept blowing but after I had put two new fuses in it stop. Can any one give me any idea what might be wrong. Because if it keeps up will go back to dynamo. I have checked the wiring for the alternater and it is all as it should be.
Thanks

Sorry, but I'm not understanding the issue - you say "after I had put two new fuses in it stop" ???
What "stop" and what is the issue now? Fuses still blowing or what. ?

are you sure you disconnected to regulator box wiring and joined them as per this diagram?

It sounds like you may have a wire off the A terminal on reg...
