Headlining wire fixing screw

Hi, I took the Headlining out of my 66 1000 3 years ago at the start of my restoration, and now I am about to fit a new lining I can't identfy where the A post fixing screw is. Can anybody give me a position so I can locate it, thanks Rich

I assume you meant to say where the fixing screw goes and nt what have you done with the screw or have I just completely misread your posting.

It actually screws in under the dash panel, not into the A post... I think your screw is in the top drawer of you tool box :-)

Ha, Ha. Thanks for the screw position location under the Dash, now all I got to do is get the cable down the A post :-? The screw is probably in amongst all the other box of fixing that you allways think at the time you will remember where they go but allways forget, Rich

Rich, any self tapping screw will do the job. The originals had a large flat head and were only about 5mm long. Quite fidly to get cable wraped around, held in tension and tightened up!
