Which one is standard for a 1098, the single row or double row, or was one fitted standard after a certain date?

I've moved this thread to the technical section.

Ray, after moving my thread from it's original heading, which by the way was a 'general question', it does not need another post saying it has been moved, as it was by then in the heading you desired. This action will then have a possible replier seaching for another location and not finding it!

Not understanding your 'double row' ? I thought rads were all much of a muchness - although just recently a 'high centre' rad was pointed out to me for earlier cars I believe.

Well in a post not so long ago you mentioned that there was no need for a 'fancy' double row radiator, so you've puzzled me!

Double core is what is meant I think.

Yes - a 'poster' asked if he needed a 'double row' radiator - and the reply was NO! There is no such thing in Minor world - however radiator manufacturers would no doubt make up such a thing if asked!

I realize you feel that it is not needed, and that may or may not be so. However I was interested to know if the double row rads were introduced later on in production. There seem to be quite a few around, so maybe not just for those who ask.

Maybe they are made available "aftermarket" for cars with engine swops....? Certainly not needed and never used on standard cars. Quite often its a way for manufactures to make more money out of us by selling something more expensive, that we don't need, under the pretence that it's better !!

Not seen one in a Morrie - and certainly not a BMC part. But anything goes in aftermarket country! Considering the Mini gets by with a rad almost half the size of the Minor - you can surely see it's well cooled in standard form !

The only way I can think of these, is
A; Export only (to countries with sunshine
B; (i Used to work in the radiator trade) it is very easy to match a double core up to the top and bottom tank/
I have made one for my MM.
