is it the later sump ? may have one in shed !

The car is a 1952 MM so yes. I wasn't aware that there was any difference in the sumps fitted to the cars although the oil pumps are different so maybe the pick up well is also different. Must check up on that one.
Anyway, if you have got a spare sump could you please email Richard.
