A quick, hopefully, easy to answer question.
Other than the provision of an oil filling hole on the diff. body, is the 4.22:1 (9/38 teeth) unit a direct swap with a 4.55:1 (9/43) item? i.e. The only mechanical difference being the numbers of teeth on the crownwheel & pinion.

Yes, they are interchangeable . The change will slightly affect your speedo reading , but not enough to worry about
