right, now in my madness at the moment, i want an MM lowlight grille. my grille is highlight MM/early series II grille. can i cut the holes to fit lights?? or is that a really stupid thing to suggest?
JLH sell the wings so i would need the grille...ponderings ponderings...
your thoughts...

maybe try making a fibreglass one out of yours and widen the holes on that one?

Try ebay australia, they sometimes have fibre glass ones listed, there was even a full car for breaking a few weeks ago.
What about borrowing Carlos grill and getting JLH to make a pattern, then there could be lots of wana be lowlights

JLH does a fibreglass one I believe. He had my front panel for a while to take a mould from.

That would fit along with the wings, then just cut holes for the headlights after reshaping the inner wings. Just ask Jonathon - he won't bite

i'd go as far as to say me and jonathon talk too much on here! i know they will fit with a cheesey highlight, but as carlo pointed out, i think it would look naff, mainly due to my limited sculpting ability! hmm...

Callyspoy - You could PM Motherofgod, as it looks like he's done the conversion(?) Ask him how he did it...

I thought I'd answered your question
'Cheesegrater' front panel is physically the same as lowlight (minus the headlights), so buy the panel and lowlight wings, modify the inner wings, and fit headlights to the front panel - 5 3/4 inch lights remember. You will have to sort out some kind of bracketry though.

Cheers for the plug Pete. Unfortunately I only took a mould of the ends of the lowlight panel as I intended on combining a late 1000 front panel with a lowlight, but cutting the 5 bar grill down to a 4 bar and a narrower slot for it to fit in. Never got around to a final mould on this but could be persuaded.

okey dokey my friends. looks like a possibility that i "could" cut down my grille...risky business...probably should buy a spare so that i don't rock out with no grille if it goes pear shaped!
oh god Jonathon...i think i'm gunna need a credit card not a debit card for my order! watch this space...
