traveller body detail required

Has anyone got a picture of the bottom area of a traveller with the wood removed showing the short wood area just rear of the door. Just removed the wood side and the bottom (between the wing and door) needs welding but as it has been repaired before I can't quite make out how it should appear before the wood is replaced. I believe there is a bottom plate that fixes to the wood but what does the metal/body look like before that?
Thanks

Don't have a picture - but the plate down below is just a cover plate held on with screws - remove the plate all will be revealed.
Years ago my MOT garage failed the car because that plate had 'insufficient welding' - I explained it was difficult to weld to wood - he still didn't believe me - had to take down resto books from Library showing pics before he finally passed the car!

Thanks for the info. Could try and get a resto book from the library (the one I have doesn't have the detail) I could have a look at a traveller next time I see one but it seems as if most have hibernated!

Your plates look as if they HAVE been welded to the sill structure! Definitely supposed to be removeable.
