I bought it in April but as it was not Mot'd and had no brakes, it was trailered home and the strip down started.
Work is almost complete so I got it out of the garage and drove it up and down the private road we have at the back of the house. Good first impressions

with a quiet gearbox and axle although I only had it up to 3rd
Hopefully should be ready for an MOT in a week or so. Looking forward to getting it on the road.

Well done MGF - but beware taking it out when there is SALT around - it will quickly undo all your good work.
You'll be able to show my car up at next years' Scottish Classic Shows then !

Fantasic - well done. I remember that feeling all too well after years of blood sweat and tears, that first drive is amazing, what a great feeling - nothing like it, eh?
Now for some pics, please!

Yes its a great feeling to be almost finished, as said above its not the best time to be putting the car on the road - I will just have to limit it to dry days.
Here is a photo taken yesterday, its not the best photo as the car is covered in dust, the headlight rings are off and the sill plates have still to be fitted.
Will post another photo when its complete and polished!
