Entering Civilisation

So, I've always fancied being civilised, although with my hands either covered in gore (at work) or oil, or paint, or plaster, or (tonight at least) fresh pasta then it's seemed pretty unlikely.
And yet, the government said we could, so my partner and I got civilised
Just thought I'd show us off*
Woot
And now back to your normally scheduled minoring.
*And this is one of very few occasions when you'll find me in a frock

Peetee - *grins*. Yup.
Well, that and no garage - means I have to really work up the energy to go outside in the cold. And doing an Advanced Trauma Nursing Course*, and having builders in to redo the kitchen (it's more stressful than doing the work myself, and amazingly, not that much quicker - except they actually have the time to work on it, whereas I don't).
...but now I'm back on Earth, and 'becca's gearbox noises are marginally worse (probably something to do with driving all over the lake district), and I can feel the slop in the diff when I let off the throttle... And the DAF's making some 'new' noises, and we won't even get into what the motorbike's are doing...
* I passed that, woot!

You're trying to get me to show off - and I don't need much encouragement* ;)
I got, uh, 92.5% in the written paper. Which is pretty spiffy. And I didn't kill my patient in the moulage, and correctly identified and treated her problems**
...
And thank you Alex
* I noticed I mentioned it twice in my journal, but I had *honestly* forgotten I wrote a post after I'd finished!
** And after my practice moulage where I nearly gave someone a blood transufsion because I was convinced I'd missed some serious injury it was quite nice not to do something stupid

Congratulation to both!
Was Rebecca an usher or something?
All the best,
Colin

Congratulations from me too.
Surely that's not your front room in the photo? It hasn't got a dismantled gearbox on the floor...

Nah, but Rebecca did transport us around the Lakes for the few days we were up there
'n she was the official transport at my mum's wedding a few months back. There's a cute shot of her with her white ribbon on in my mum's album
And no stig; sadly that isn't my front room*, although if anyone wants to buy me the hotel we stayed in for our holiday as a house, that'd be quite pleasant (although it's a little big for us).
* Kathryn is very supportive of the whole car-thing; she offers to come help when I'm working on the cars too

The OH and I have decided to hold off becoming civilised for a while so we can get a moggy!
(I've always wondered what the equivalent of being 'married' is to us that cant be. Much prefer civilised to partnered!)
Congrats
