Hi, i have seen a few early minor cars with indicators fitted under neath the front and rear bumpers, are these type old or are they still available. i have a 62 with the trafficators taken out and would prefer this type rather than the darlick or flush mounted type
many thanks

I've used hgv markerlights made by Rubolite
http://www.ukautomotive.co.uk/stock.asp?id=257
you may also be able to adapt motorbike indicators or similar to fit

I've seen a few different links to these lights but never found a site that you can actually buy off. How do you buy them?!!
Or am I just having a stupid moment?

Hi andy, your not having a stupid moment is there a commercial vehicle repairers /paintshop in northants they might have a parts department there, as a last resort you could try the hgv test centre at weedon ( if its still there) they might be able to put you onto a local supplier. just as a after thought , i thought there was a legal height lighting limit . I will have to check this with my mot man to see if this type would be to low under the bumper. dusty

MOT man won't know - the height regs will be Construction and Use -and nothing to do with MOT. All he cares is that they are visible, they work , and they flash between 60/120 per minute!

Ok, thanks Dusty, I'll look into it.
Oh and good luck with finding some yourself!

If you fit HGV lights remember that HGVs run on 24V so if they come with bulbs they will need changing.
I have seen some very neat chromed motor cycle indicators used.

Motorbike ones can be another option - often available second hand via fleabay etc.. if you're on a budget

Here we go:
The fronts are orange bulbs wired into the sidelight lenses and the headlights changed to those with integral sidelights.
