hi there how do i trace my cars history ie where bought when new etc up until now

Contact the DVLA for a full list of previous keepers. Contact British Motor Industry Heritage Trust (
http://www.heritage-motor-centre.co.uk) for a production trace. You will need to send them as many details as you have at present (eg chassis number, index mark, etc) plus a fee, but they will send back any information that they have, including the dealer that supplied the car.
