Wondering who your insurance is with for your morris minor and how much you pay?

Ideal for reference

Eg:
Morris Minor 1000 - Insurance company - fully comp - £...year

or

if you dont want to list details please just say who you insurance is with instead.

footman james £87.00 a year, unlimited mileage, on road, national and international breakdown cover and thay are all fully comp and age over 55

FJ. £94 unlimited miles (second car) for 1972 pick up for a 37yr old with 1 recent at fault claim.
Price is not everything and sometimes you need service. As a moderator I'm not allowed to recommend (or the opposite) but some will already know what I think on them.

AON the club (non-discounted) scheme do offer very good / reputable service however I've no recent experience of them as their prices were not competetive.

footman james - £9? (cant quite remember might be £97) fully comp, unlimited mileage, europan recovery, windscreens etc... on a standard 1969 2 door with a currently agreed value of £1000, but I need to get that updated in light of all the work I've done (stripped and rebuilt, resprayed, 101% solid underneath etc..) ... anyone know how to put a value on these things? Its priceless to me

I was with the AON club scheme until my renewal a couple of weeks ago, but am now with Adrian Flux as their quote was over £50 cheaper.

Yes do update it! I hadn't updated my van ins after the bodywork and paint late last year so only got the miserable amount it was covered for after the accident this year.
For the record I'm with FJ Around £400 for 6-7 classics, and they paid up pretty promptly after the accident too. (Probably couldn't believe their luck at the ins val...)

How do I go about getting it valued ... obviously it isnt going to be the sum of the parts and time I've spent on it or it would be worth at least £5k or so by now and it still isnt finished - I'm about 80% of the way through cold-galvanising the underside and havent even begun to attack the interior - beyond removing it so that the windows-out respray was easier.

Wish I'd chosen a better sprayer though ... sigh, but that's another story entirely ... i should have bitten the bullet and done it myself really.

Ins co. should accept a 'self valuation' with photos if within current price guides. If you want it covered for more you may need an independant valuation, which can either be a club or branch official, a dealer, restorer or specialist.
The professionals may charge a fee for their time, and your local branch may want a donation to funds / raffle prize or something like. Depends on the person really.
The MMOC did have an 'approved valuer' scheme a few years back where one person from each branch went on a 'course' to hopefully ensure consistency, but I've not heard anything about it for a while now so suspect it fizzled out.

i got my insurance on my moggy today for 99 pound from aa or try swinton they asked me 146 pound both companys were fully comp

Please do bear in mind that I get ripped off because my car is considered to be fairly modified (more than 30% more CCs than original)
