Do you recognise this thermostat housing?

On an A-series engine. Note the sender unit for a temperature gauge. Can anybody identify the make/model of car; and does anyone know if the housings are still available? Thanks.

Think you will find that it is off a Morris Ital A+ 1275 engine.

Think I have one somewhere !!

Thanks for the prompt suggestion, but sorry, I'm not entirely convinced: all the manuals and examples I have suggest that the Marinas and Itals had the sender in the block below the thermostat (as in a 1098 head); and the picture is of a 948 engine that had probably seized before Itals were on the road. However, I'm happy to be proved wrong, or to receive other suggestions. Thanks.

No Marina or Ital engine I've ever had (and it's quite few) has had it, certainly

Maybe from early Spridgets where they had the combined oil pressure/water temp gauge - yet the 948 engine had no tapping in the head for the temperature sensing bulb. I have one somewhere - they sell well on ebay!

I bought those housings in the 80's from Morris suppliers. I believe they were made for 948 cars. Spritgets had the sender in the radiator tank. I also remember getting one at a meet. No idea when they were first available. Your's looks a few years old.
