Wheel colour?

My 1971 Morris has silver standard road wheels fitted but is this the original colour? For some reason I thought all Morris 1000/Minor wheels were white, possibly Old English white?
Am I right (for once!) or totally wrong as usual? :)

Ps if they are supposed to be white, anyone know where I can get aerosol sprays in the correct colour please? Cheers.

From 1967 the standard wheel colour was silver. Prior to that they were old English white and before that painted in body colour......

Personally I think OEW wheels look nicer - it depends how important originality is to you. Try looking for Rover Arum White paint in your local motor factors.

Thanks. I prefer the white myself and think the green paintwork will offset the colour nicely.

That's exactly what my 1967 minor will have - Almond Green and old english white is a lovely combination

And if you want to hand paint them - just use Dulux Magnolia Gloss - it's the same as OEW (well, very very nearly!).

I also prefer the OEW, thats what I have for the Traveller although they are silver just now.
