As many will be aware there is new legislation with regards to cellulose paint and this has resulted in a lot of places not selling it anymore as I isn’t worth all the extra paperwork .
While searching for some paint to have ready to complete my car I came across 2 sites on the internet
1. Total rip off £35.00 per litre
2. Classic car paint supplies will mix any paint colour you wish for only £18.95 per litre + the dreaded vat and shipping
http://www.classiccarpaints.com/price_list.htm
can anyone else share any suppliers of paint etc

Prices will always vary on paint. Cheap poor quality celly can be bought for around £10 per litre, however top quality celly can cost the £35 you mention.
As with all paints you will get what you pay for, ie cheap paint = poor quality pigments and tinters which will fade more quickly than the better product. Colour matching can also be an issue as the cheap (and in some cases the more expensive piant) tinters are literally running out and combinations need to be found to try and replicate them.
So just be carefull of what you buy.

Maybe, but the demand is so small in relation to the waterbased market that they need to charge more, just to be able to stock the colours and tinters required. I'd imagine that next year will see further increases, and the next and so on.

Just what my supplier does. He can make up any colour you like (£17/litre) as long as you assure him its for agricultural use. Apparently there's suddenly a lot of very varied and imaginatively coloured tractors out there

Who said agriculture was in the doldrums?

I imagine it's that definition of small amount. As most of my local suppliers just won't supply anymore, the one who does is presumably shifting a fair bit more than he was previously!

By definition of most insurance company classic car is a vehicle over 15 years old
I think as morris minors are vintage or aproaching vintage that they should be vat exemp for all parts required for restoration

Interesting idea - I suggest you put it to Broon and Darling - they haven't got much else to worry about now they have 'sorted' the banking system!
