5 speed Conversion - which clutch?

Hi all,

I am a bit confused about which clutch cover and drive plate to use with the 5 speed type 9 conversion. I have saved the links below onto photoshop and wonder if some one could have a look and give me some assistance. The ford box at the moment has I assume a ford release bearing, not a morris type - sorry I didn't get photo of this.

The clutch sat on the flywheel is smaller that normal and only fits that flywheel.

The clutch cover and flywheel photographed individually look like the normal size/type then I also have a flywheel with a spigot bush mounted in it which accepts the ford box input shaft(at least it is tight fit).

At the moment I have mounted the flywheel with the spigot bush, a drive plate that fits the ford input shaft and the clutch cover that fits this flywheel.

I originaly used the 1098 cover & release bearing but later changed to a ford cover. the bolt holes line up to the minor flywheel but will need the dowels redrilling for three instead of two
Could the smaller clutch/flywheel be off a Midget?

Ours has the standard Minor pressure plate but uses the Ford driven plate and release bearing.

OK so I think I should be using the Flywheel with spigot as pictured a Ford clutch plate - will this be a sierra plate that I can buy new from a motor factor?- and the morris clutch cover. If use the morris clutch cover should I use the morris release bearing and if I use the other clutch cover with the triangular fingers should I use the morris or ford release bearing?

Yes its a sierra clutch, I have just ordered the one I *think* it is on ebay, to suit 1098 flywheel. If you wait a few days I will post the part no in as many manufacturers no.s as I can and say whether is the right one or not!

the correct clutch is the 1983 sierra 1.6.

The moggy style pressure plate is ok but not for high power engines but good enough for standard and mildly tuned engines.
