Thrust Washers

How much movement (if any) would you expect to see with the Thrust Washers. Have just fitted a reground crank, torqued up mains, big ends etc and feel that the Thrust Washers move slightly when I turn the engine back and forwards. Float gap seems about 3 tp 6 thou.

Any comments appreciated.

0.003 maximum end float for a Mini, I see no reason for this not applying to the Minor

End float seems fine - it's just that I can see a little movement of the tabs (just a little) when I turn the engine over from one way to another. Everything else looks and feels fine.

I wouldn't worry about that. There's a tab that stops them turning too far.

Sounds fine - but make sure the thrusts are fitted right way round - with the wear face on each one towards the crank!
