Traveller - fitting new sliding window channels

I am putting all the bits back on the car after the fitting the new wood and found that I didn't take a photo of the old rubber window channels and cannot remember -
The channel I am wondering about is the bottom channel for the inner window glass - the one that only slides open about 4", the mid rail internal capping has a metal coverplate fixed to it that the outer window bolts into. (hope my description makes sense
)
Does the internal rubber channel go from B to C post and the metal coverplate goes on top of this, or does the rubber channel stop at the point the metal coverplate starts?
I have attached the only photo I have with the area I mean in the rectangle, my guess is the channel goes full length and the metal coverplate slots into the channel but I could be wrong
