Just thought I would pop in and say hello I have a Morris minor million that has been off the road for the last 4 years and finally getting round to starting a much needed restoration all the normal rot , will post some pics of progress when i get a chance .
ps got a great pic of me baking the paint on to exhaust manifold
to harden it prior to storage until it is needed before build ,
didn’t please Mrs. too much i tell you

Yep the smell took a couple of hours to go but I promised the Mrs. a new cooker when I re did kitchen

please post some pics of your million!
i can better your manifold. when rebuilding the datsun a12 engine, i put the whole block in the oven to dry it and heat it up for painting. i forgot one crucial thing, the heat softened a bit of oil in the galleries and it leaked in the oven!! oh gee, i was damn lucky that the new kitchen wasnt far away and a new oven was on order anyway so i didnt get kicked out that day. engine block in oven wasnt too happy on the normal rack but it didnt fall thankfully

If I even thought about doing something like that I think my life expectancy would be dramatically shortened.

trouble with opening the oven door is that too often the end product comes out flat.....I should post a piccy of my yorkshire puds

Get an oven with a glass door, you can be nosey without ruining your cooking!
