hi there, first time poster here.

i'm trying to find a very specific morris minor, and im hoping someone on this forum might be able to help - spec is as follows:

Black 1960 Morris Minor 1000 Saloon
Red Leather interior
Reg: VRV 924
Chassis #: M/A55 858072
Engine #: 8C25 EP14037

it was sold at auction through Bonhams recently during the Silverstone Classic in September and i'd love to get in touch with the owner - any help greatly appreciated!

cheers

thanks - glad i found this board. think i might be spending some time here!

basically it once belonged to my father in law (who did it up) and i'd like to get in touch with the current owners to ask that if one day they ever decide to sell it, that they sell it to me... sentimental really, but aside from the personal connection to it (father in law died recently and it was originally a wedding present from him to myself and my wife - not a bad present i know!) it's an awesome example of a 1000 and i'd like to spend some time with it one day!

the hunt begins here!

Have you tried contacting Bonhams, explaining your reason for contcting the new owner. They may be able to pass your details on to the owner even if they will not give out his to you.

In theory - if you have a 'good reason' you can pay a small fee to DVLA to get owner's details. Now that 'good reason' may have to be something like 'the car bumped in to mine and drove off' - or 'they parked on my land and I want to send them a fine' - because that's how the Private Parking groups get owner details and it seems to work for them. If you just say you want to contact the owner. that may not be good enough and of course you will then have played your hand!
