Hello grandad, I have always liked A35s, never managed to get one though.

A chap down the road has just finished doing one, I was surprised how solid it is, with a 1098cc Minor engine it does go well.

A35s make an interesting alternative to Mogs, the parts situation isnt as good though.

this is very solid but engine gearbox not up to much but well worth doing , but have found engine for it but as a car i was very impresed,, grandad

I must buy one sometime, they do drive nicely.

My 1st car was an A35. Rotten as a pear and MOTed thanks to newspaper, Isopon and underseal I reckon.

Nice, if small interior with comfy leather seats.
Working on the engine is like keyhole surgery compared to a Minor

don't know about better built but I think they were more rust prone, I remember many A35s up to yrs ago on the road none survive today, but of the Minors there are still some around

this one has survived very well , just engine and box to do,, grandad

I had an A35 for 11 years called Sylvester - loved him to bits - only a few problems mainly float chamber. Unfortunately 3 small children don't fit in a small A35, so I moved onto a Morris 2 dr which I had for 7 years before they grew (children) so big I needed the Traveller. Now they've all got Morris' of their own

this sounds lovely dont think i will convert our three daughters, but my grandchildren love it ,,grandad

It is nice really when we all go somewhere 4 of the 5 went to the National Rally this year. We could start a branch here!

we like to go out with friend who have classic cars ,not joind local branch yet but may do in near future.

My first car, in mid 70's, was an A30 given to me when my step grandfather stopped driving.
I've always had a soft spot for them and around 10 years ago bought my current '56 A35. It's first week of A35 production and has A30 aspects due to using up surplus parts at the factory. I didn't realise this until I went to a show and had people crawling all over it pointing out the various differences to ones even a few weeks younger.
It's been off the road, garaged, for the last 8 years but nothing seriously wrong with it. I keep on meaning to recommission but now am going to upgrade - 1275 with autobox, Midget discs, antirollbar, rear brakes and halfshafts etc.
All reversible modifications and I'll keep the standard parts safe
