It was more than 'close'. The bike actually clips his helmet. The marshall who ran in the first place was also lucky. If he hadn't turned around and run back he'd have needed a similar miracle.

There are plenty of videos out there where marshalls and pit crew didn't come off so lucky, so it's a reminder that motorsport has it's risks even when motorbikes are not involved.

A friend of mine was on her way to the TT races but she only got as far as the M6. A car driver was playing silly buggers and gave her a brake test at 90mph. She managed to miss the car but the effects of rolling along the tarmac have kept her off work for a month. I was never very lucky on a motorbike so switched to cars to limit the time I spent at A&E.
