Chertsey Concours!

Without futher ado as I know its reputation precedes itself... :D

Saturday September the 13th (easy to remember as it\'s the day before my birthday :) )
2 pm kick-off (although judges have been asked not to use their feet this year)
Venue - Chertsey Minors, Unit 6 Steven\'s Yard, 113 Fordwater Road, Chertsey KT16 8HB

Tea and buns provided.

Everything is at the judges' discretion (as they own the yard, thanks Nigel and Pete, can I have another prize this year?)
For those of you unfamiliar with this event, categories vary every year, but you most certainly WON\'T get a prize for the shiniest, quietist or tidiest car.
Previous categories have included
*Worst paint job - most visible brushstrokes
*car that looks most like it\'s being lived in
*least matching interior/exterior

Real shiny prizes that you can take home (SAE provided)

We plan to go for a drive afterwards to a pub for something to eat...
Formal dress/clean overalls (gentlemen come as you are)

Cheers,
[/size:3e072da285]

Hi Lou

I had to vote for the middle one as I know where Chertsey is but do not know the location of any rookeries :D - sorry but I will be going to Beaulieu on Saturday

Have fun

Unfortunately the second option seems the norm these days :(

Hi Lou,

Sounds good. I might be able to make this. Did they change the date? I thought that this was in August?

I don't normally go south of the river but I might make an exception seeing as buns are provided :D

Not sure what category to vote for though as I might have to turn up in my non Minor. Would this be a problem? Would I be banished from the yard or would possession of an MMOC cotton shopper allow entry?

Lou

Hence the inclusion of that option :)

Lou - it was going to be in August, however...
As an honorary member of the Chertsey branch I don't suppose it matters much what you turn up in :D

Cheers,

Not sure if there's a 'Car least likely to be mistaken for a Morris Minor' category this year... but you never know :D

Much as I'd like to - it sounds like my sort of thing, and I'd really quite like to finally meet some of the web crowd one day - I'm afraid that a week constitutes Short Notice to me and I'm committed to something this weekend!

Well it certainly looks as though you were right to put that option in Lou. Perhaps we should have 'virtual' rallies instead
