I have acquired a 1970 Minor
The rear wheel arches, inside the car doors,at the rear seat are rusted,do you know if there is a repair panel available to cover this and into the rear inner wing?
Also thecar is positive earth will this work with a modern battery reversed?
I amnew to the Minor!
Thanks

The positive earth makes no difference to battery polarity! Just connect the negative terminal to the negative lead and the positive terminal to the postive lead. All positive earth means is that the car body is utilised to carry current around the car (i think).

As for the rust problem you have, some pictures would be handy. From the sounds of it though you have rust in the usual places. repair panels are easily available for most bits. Im assuming its the 2 door model?

Sounds like it could be a 4 Door but panels are still available to repair. And, yes, makes no difference to the battery which way it is connected so just buy a new battery and connect the wires to the same terminals as they are now.

Do NOT just decide to reverse the polarity! If you wish to do that come back here for guidance.
