Rear seats

A slightly odd question but do the rear seats fold down in a minor please?

Oh yes, and very usefull it is too, there is a press stud on the parcel shelf.

Later cars have 2 butterfly bolts rather than the press stud fixing....

Which should occasionally be taken out and a spot of copper greae applied to the thread so they dont seize in place.

Where would we be without our spot of grease! My wife wouldn't get dobs on her clothes! - mainly from the door locks! oops

or you can take the bolts and leave them out, the seat isnt going to budge by itself, especially if you have seatbelts fitted.

Yes Andy, very true. But I've never understood why they decided on the extra security of the bolts on later cars - unles of course they never considered the option of rear seat belts? And, of course, you can't fold the rear seat if you have seat belts fitted either.....

Nobody considered rear seat belts back then, any more than they considered air bags or sat nav :D
