What volume of antifreeze do I require for a complete refill of the cooling system?
Have read all the back posts about flushing and cleaning out - happy with that, but what volume of antifreeze do I need?
Thanks

I don't know the exact volume, but I buy a 5 litre bottle, and it's enough for a full fill (inc heater) with a little bit left over for top ups.

Thanks - sounds like a good plan. How's Brrissy? Good I hope - lived there for 6 months back in 87. Coolio place. Lucky man.

Make sure you get full strength antifreeze - the stuff is often sold 'ready for use' - ie it's been diluted down and you are mostly buying water!

On the other hand don't overdo it.

The cooling system is pretty much 5 litres (8 3/4 pints). Anitfreeze should be 50/50 mix so 2.5 litres will do you but make sure it's good quality antifreeze and summer coolant.
