Here is one possibly for Judge. Didnt know whether to put it in Bodywork or not.
Am rebuilding an engine and want to get all components right colour, not for concourse but just to look right. Here is what I have so far. Sump, block, head valvechest covers, front pulley, timing chain cover, engine mounting plates and rocker cover all in green. Presume all bungs in block, oil and water green also.
Presume thermostat cover, water pump, oil filter head left as cast (is there a colour I could spray them to make them look new, some sort of ally paint) same goes for carb and inlet manifold and alternator. Fan blades and alternator pulley presumably some sort of yellow. Starter, matt black or gloss black. Oil pipe from block to filter head, presumably green. Radiator, matt black? Rad cowl assy, black or body colour. Front shockers, ally paint? Air cleaner, matt or gloss black.
If I have missed anything out, please feel free to say. Types and colours of paint, ie Frost products.
It is just that I am sending a fair ammount of time and money and want it to look right.
Thank you .

Gloss.
Don't forget wiring harness 'Lucas' label, and correct fuel pump label. Also radiator stencilled warning.

Around the main part of the harness that runs just under the fuses on the bulkhead.

Thank you very much Bill. I thought you would be the man who would know. A few suprises, but its good to know. Thank you once again.
I did buy some engine paint from ESM, but it seemed too bright. Ended up getting some from a Mini part supplier that was a darker green. Seemed to match the existing bits of green better.
What colour the fuel pump? Where can you get a stencil of warning on radiator. Seem to remember seeing one for sale somewhere.

Right , thank you. There was someone on ebay that did all the engine stickers. But typically now when I want some he isn't there.

The fuel pump was 'as supplied' by the manufacturer. Generally cast alloy where pipes connect, and the 'tube' black.

Just a couple of small points, the fuel pump decal shown is not the one fitted to an original factory supplied unit, and you should be looking for a stencil, not a decal, for the radiator.
