Windscreen rubber profile

The project for this Sunday is to fit new rubber front and back on the screens.
I've just been looking at the new rubber and I'm a bit worried about what sort of trim the front one is for.
At the moment the car has the metal trim but looking at the profile on the new rubber I suspect it may be designed for the plastic trim (which I don't have)
Can anyone identify what type it's for from the picture?
Will it be OK to fit without the trim as long as it doesn't rain?
Any tips or tricks for fitting the rear screen also gratefully received.
From the labels attached to the rubbers it looks like it has only taken me 6 years to get round to this job
Image
It neeeds the trim to expand the rubber tightly onto the screen and surround. I suspect all new rubbers will be for plastic 'chrome' trim. But someone who really knows will be along in a minute!

Looks like you need the plastic trim to me, not easy to be sure from that view, you can however fit the rubber, then fit the trim when you get it. Keep dry though as it will not seal without insert and therefor trap water.

Oi! it took a while to get that view :)
The lighting had to be just right to show the shape and just the right amount of pressure was exerted to open it up.
I was concentrating so hard on the composition I didn't notice my shoes were in the shot
I think you are right about the plastic trim but the planets have lined up, the weather forecast is good and I will have another pair of hands to help.
I'll have a dig around in the garage to see if I bought the plastic trim at the same time.
The metal trim is hanging on a couple of nails so I know where that is
