Me again on the subject of seats, would a set of Ford Orion seats fit or would they be too big? or need heavily modifying? What about rover 25 seats?would the rear seats be a straight fit?

Cheers Mark

I fitted Escort XR3i seats into a Land Rover so assume the Orion ones are similar.
The sliding bases have a angle bracket that is riveted on and that needs to be removed.
You are then left with a flat base but will probably need to make a simple subframe to raise the seat to the right hight.
Also remember if in a 2 door Minor then Orion ones won't have the backrest tilt facility. I think if you make the subframe tiltable instead then you might find the headrest fouls the roof or steering wheel.

They'll be fine.

The earlier orion (non bubble shape) has useable runners to.
You could easily customise them, adding flat 'feet' to said angle bracket so they can be bolted straight into the minor floor.

i have fitted lots of diffrent seats in the minors i have had
best ones to date .
old renault 5 . honda crx . 309 peugeot (but you have to swap them over drivers over to passengers )
all need a small bit of reworking to the subframe but well worth the work.

Apparently the most comfotable ones that fit are Saab seats.

And some of them, if you wire them up, are electrically adjustible and heated! :D
