strange call

had a lady ring today asking after my car she ask a few questions ,then said she would get a college to ring back . he did claiming to find cars for people in the midlands he wasnt a nice person to talk to he ask a lot of uestions about my car , then said if i had contacted them he would have sugested a price of two to two and half thousand,.ask the couler of the engine, what it was like in the boot , then hung up. has any one else had this. just rememerd the ladys name was, melony

yes and she is blocked in with other cars. and the gates are locked

Sounds like a scam. When I advertised my car (non minor) for sale in my local newspaper I was plagued by callers from various companies all suggesting that I should register with them as they had buyers lined up. The catch was that I had to pay them a feefor the privilege. To be honest grumpy grandad I wouldn't have given them the time of day. A genuine potential buyer wouldn't suggest that you could sell it for more

That's the problem with posting your telephone number on the internet - anyone can get hold of it. Better to just ask interested parties to send you a pm with their phone number. Telesales companies are unlikely to go to the trouble of doing this.

yes very stupid of me have alterted the add ,thankyou grandad
