New bumpers

Post by DAVIDMCCULLOUGH »

The front and rear bumper blades on the lowlight were in poor condition. I priced getting them chromed, and a rough estimate was going to be £400 to £500. Scarey amount of money. A mate reckoned they could be made from stainless easily as they are just flat. So that what was done! Steel was lazer cut and shaped on a wheel, then polished. Brillant job, also got some stainless bolts off ebay so hopefully no more rust and it cost me quarter of the the estimate for rechroming.
Image
Thank you!!

I dont think I'll bring it to MOT UK, Stanford Hall and back was a bit of an epic journey..... The traveller is SO much more practical for long trips with camping gear and I always end up bringing loads of junk home.
