Have bought a Minor Saloon 5 years ago which was in one family until I purchased it and am thinking of having it converted. Can anyone recommend a quality conversion company which is also able to do some restoration work?

If anyone has had a conversion done could they please get in contact and let me know how it went?

Not too sure if I should go down this route or perhaps go out and buy a factory original convertible.

Hi Scottie you havent filled in your whereabouts in your profile so I dont know how far away from the specialist that now deals with these conversions near the south coast, they were originally done in Yorkshire but the company no longer exsists and the patterns etc wrer taken over by the other company who I believe have made improvements to the original kits.

I think this is the company Kevin is referring to:

http://www.midsussexminors.co.uk/

They also sell the kits if you want to convert it yourself.

If you want to see some that have already been converted just go to your nearest morris minor rally, or contact your local branch of the mmoc. There's bound to be a few there.

Interesting as the website still appears to be up and running and there is still an email link for him, is it being run by someone else or has he just moved.

The worst part of the conversion was shaping the section at the top of the windscreen but this is now available preformed so the job is easier.
