mg or mini?
Can anyone tell me if i can buy a mg metro turbo engine or a mini turbo and slot it in to my morris pick up ? If possible what other changes would have to be made ? i.e gearbox, rear axle and brakeing. would much appreciate any help, will post pics of project once i get the hang of all this forum stuff!

Not those engines - not easily, anyway, though I believe that a kit has just been developed to allow it to be done (hence £££££). Trouble is that the crank arrangement is rather different for the FWD 'box in the sump' engines. As a Mod, I'm not allowed to say where you might get more info on it, but I imagine that somebody without those constraints will tell you
If you have the best part of £1000 to get a good turbo lump, and then the not trivial amount it would cost for the new crank (I assume the crank is replaced in these conversions, and not modified masssively instead) plus other machining work, then go for it.
I'd go with a 200 quid 1275 Midget/ Marina lump and a couple of hundred on go faster goodies to get similar power to a spec turbo for a lot less cash..

Mini/MG engine cannot easily be used in a Minor - would need crank change and special rear oil seal made up. Better to simply use a 1275 Midget engine - fit low compression pistons from the MG Turbo engine, and the special head (sodium cooled exhaust valves) and turbo/carb etc off the same engine. It's loads of work - personally I think just adding a decent cam/head/carb to the Midget engine would be a better way forward, and probably more reliable too.
Some have fitted the Supercharger ex MINI to the A series engine - generally with good results. Torque at all revs - but again low compression pistons are advised and the turbo head would be a good idea too!
