Andrew you should really be celebrating with a pint of Old Moggie not with a bottle of fizzy pop

Very well done Andrew - you did it while I was away 'firing' on Thomas the Tank Engine !
As an aside - do you happen to know what is the general average % of 'Ginger' kids is in Scotland? There seemed to be a great number at Bo'ness today - all desperate to visit T the T !!

According to an article I read in a newspaper yesterday, only 2% of the world population is ginger. However Scotland has the highest percentage worldwide with 13% of residents being ginger :o Perhaps the reason for this is that redheads are prone to burning in the sun so Scotland will be pretty safe for them

I think you'll find that Londoners don't stare at gingers in the street. They just cross over to the other side of the road very quickly

Well - 13% of 'ginger' kids might have been about right! Certainly seemed to be more than 1 in 10. It is a Scottish gene and sure sign of Scottish ancestry. Unfortunately another Scottish gene seems to give a susceptibility to developing MS - far higher % in Scotland than in rest of UK. That gene is known to have come from Scandinavia (Viking invasions!) and it may be the 'ginger' gene has the same ancestry.
