purolator oil filter

Hi guys
im needing to replace my oil filter on my sidevalve (the kind with the thermostat)
is this here original fitment? dosnt look it to me
(yes i know my choke cable isnt where it should be

)

This looks the same as mine, you use the same oil filter for the 948 and 1098 a series engine.

But the specified one has a smaller bore and so seats correctly in the housing. A later one will "go in" the housing though.

The unit you have there is the correct one. I have always used the standard Minor 1000 oil filter. Don't change the o'ring seal. If it doesn't leak leave it alone.
