I'd never heard of them, despite far to many years of guitaring, but Google turned up this -
http://www.landolaguitars.co.uk/
LATER and also found a few for sale -

so from the prices, nice but not *THAT* nice...

Hi Dan.
I know abit about guitars.....
Lamnndola's are not among the "sought after" acoustic guitars (eg Martin / Gibson etc) but many manufacturers made good quality playable instruments - but many (60s / 70's) made some real dogs too!. Build quality generally improved across the whole range of acoustic guitars in the 90/s / 00's.
Landola's were made in Finland from 1942 - have a look here to date it
http://www.landolaguitars.co.uk/datinglandola.htm
- bring it down to SADMOG and I'll have a look at it to see what it's like (ref playability / build quality / sound quality etc) - I wouldnt price one and I'm not in the market for one - just in case anyone thought I was gonna try to pull a fast one).
As with any commodity, an item is only worth what a punter is willing to give for it and I'd be surprised if there are a queue of Landola afficionado's (hold's breath and waits a stampede of landola lovers

), but if its good, there'll always be someone after a good guitar at the right price.
Cheers, Mike.

tbh, I have a work colleague who has just lost his guitar after a gig and it was a NICE guitar so I was thinking of giving it to him. But if you are going to come to sadmog this week I shall bring it along. I've already spotted the Landola website and determined that its from '77 but I have other guitars which I prefer the tone of but don't want to give away a guitar which might be worth a littlle.....
