Still on the same car.
The fuel gauge sticks firmly on full all the time when the ignition is on.
Any answers please?

Snap! Mine has the same problem. Ive tried earthing the tank as this was newly painted and fitted with dum dum, had the float out to check it and even tried another gauge head all with no luck.

Mike, did you have any luck sorting the fuel gauge?

Not yet. I have resorted to using a dip stick and carrying a spare 2 gallon can full. When I get round to it I will take the inst. panel out and check the wiring and earth. If no luck I will fit a spare gauge. Yes I did reconnect the tank feed wire!
I still haven't got the indicator warning light working yet either. Spending too much time polishing the new paintwork.

I'm no expert on these particular gauges, but, if the gauge is reading full all the time with ign on then it must be seeing a constant earth. For anyone familiar with the set up and the areas where there should be isolation then it should be easy to sort out. Check each feed and earth with a meter until you find continuity where it shouldn't be....
