Just purchased 1962 Convertible for restoration
It is in yellow with a tan hood!
Paint looks to be orignal!!
Can anybody tell me if this was a standard colour?
Many thanks

In 1962 I would think it was Highway Yellow....
ps, are you the same Haggis as on the LRO forum?

Yep '62 would probably be Highway yellow, now a very rare colour, but I thought they usually had blue hoods?

To quote from the "Holy Grail" a Highway yellow convertible should have, blue/grey trim, pearl grey hood, blue carpets, light beige headlining, OE white grille, pearl grey coachline and OE white wheels...... Highway yellow was only available from Oct 61 to Oct 62.

I don't remember that scene in the "Holy Grail". Was it a Gilliam animation?

The 1961 - 1962 colours are quite rare now as I believe they only made them in the low hundreds. we have an original procelain green 4dr from the same era and I have been informed that there are about 35 left on the road.
