Don't know if anyone is interested but Barry Island Railway is Commemorating the 40th anniversary of the end of Mainline Steam throughout August (Saturdays and Sundays 2nd - 31st August 2008).

The grand finale will be on August 9th and will see a special "mixed traction" event showing the transition between steam and diesel traction.
