I wonder where the other Moggie and the A40 went as they were just in front at the start but great fun to watch.
Cheers

They are racing at Castle Combe next week end, the Morris is racing on the Saturday (2nd August). Lots of classics on both days with HSCC on Sunday. Full entry list and timetable available here : http://www.castlecombecircuit.co.uk/doc ... 020808.pdf

The Morris racing in the Dunlop Oldies But Goldies Pre,60 series was racing at Castle Combe on Saturday, I was really impressed with the way it went, the cornering around Camp corner looked really well balanced and definitely well driven.
It was running 5th initially but I think made some contact somewhere around the circuit as it fell right down the order and had the rear bumper dragging on the ground, a real shame.

Definitely worth going to see these guys race somewhere if you can.

How did you fare in the Radical. :) Is there a website showing events, dates etc for the Dunlop Oldies.

Had a good weekend really, have made some progress getting the car handling as I want it to, came 12th on Saturday and 10th on Sunday. Smallest engine in the race (28 starters on Saturday) and had a good battle with a 2 litre Jade sports racer. Really enjoyed drifting the car round the corners and managed to do a personnal best laptime on Sunday. Over 130 MPH 40mm off the ground is fun!!
Just need more power now (in progress) and some downforce (also in progress).

I think details of the Historic saloons is here http://www.themastersseries.com/race-se ... sults.html and I think Silverstone on the 21st is the next one.

James, I'm not sure the aero mods will be suitable for your Morris, the mods I will be doing are going on the Radical.

I couldn't bring myself to circuit race my Morris, not really suitable as would probably need a lot more mods to ensure it lasts a race distance (gearbox & diff oil coolers, brakes etc), am keeping that for road and hillclimb/sprint use. Plus the Morris is a real pain to work on.
