Carb questions...

Post by Matt »

Hi Guys

2 hopefully very simple questions.

What is the standard needle for a 1098, and what bore jet should be fitted and is there any easy way to tell them apart?

My brothers car is seriously over-fuelling and I suspect someone *might* have put a larger bore jet on :s

On a 1 1/4 " standard carb - should be 90 thou jet Matt - AN is the standard needle, H6 rich, EB weak - with red spring. Fuel level may be too high - remove the bell and look at the jet from above - the fuel should be about 1/4" below the top of the jet housing. If too high it will be flooding over and too rich!
