I'm a bit worried.
When I log in I keep being told that "this user does not exist" - but I can click on the forum index link and being diverted here.
I'm worried that I'm about to be erased from history or something

Sounds like a definite conspiracy to me. I'd listen for helicopters and guys in black carrying MP5's and stun grenades. This happened to a friend of mine on one of the VW Forums, he vanished three days later, never to be seen again.
