Somerset branch run to Lyme Regis

Post by elainemr »

This was not printed in the Minor Matters magazine, so here are the details:

The Somerset branch are having their annual run to Lyme Regis on Tuesday 15 July. We are meeting at the Tesco car park in Chard at 6.30pm and driving to Lyme Regis for fish and chips on the Cobb. The last four runs have been lovely, really warm sunny nights, so fingers crossed for this one!

For more information please ring Elaine on 07761667920.

Thanks

Dont know if this has been pondered. It might be worth letting tescos know that you are planning to meet on their property, Im only thinking this because they may start thinking that a group of people in cars meeting up might be looking for mischief in their car parks. Shouldnt be a problem but worth considering.
They might even be willing to put a note up in store to attract new menbers.

I think unless there are dozens of cars and you're intending to take over a big section of the car park and sit there for hours, asking Tesco's permission is just likely to cause unnecessary headaches. If you're worried they might try to kick you out because you're not there to shop, just go and buy some crisps and a can of pop in the store when you first arrive. :)

I'm not sure that anyone would think that about a group of Morris Minors and their owners though

I don't think it's going to be a problem, last year we only had 13 cars! Also my son works there, and no, sadly, they won't let me advertise for new members.
