Direction Indicator Switch

Hello -- I have a '67 Morris LCV with what appears to be a normal direction indicator switch; the mechanism to automatically cancel the indicator after a turn is made is all intact on the switch assembly but the "trip" device that would be mounted on the rotating part of the steering column is missing.
I made an item out of the appropriate size bolt but it does not always cancel correctly. If someone has a digital camera, could they reply with a photo of what the trip device is supposed to look like and I'll make one. Many thx.

I was working on one the other week and originally its like a square headed bolt, with a "nipple" on top, since the "nipple" is rounded it moves the levers out of its way as they wear, my solution was to weld onto the top and then grind it square. (because this assembly was worn I filed a couple of groves into the head to guide the levers)

Worth noting that there is a lock nut on the mini bolt to let you adjust it till it just clears the parts it comes close to.

Many thx for description. I was on right track but I used wrong shape. Newly made one (per your suggestion) works great! Nick
