Nearly, Nearly there now. I'm within touching distance of having the trav MOT'able. Admittedly its still going to look as rough as a bag of spanners but should be legal very soon.

just need a rear brake light lense (I cannot, for the life of me find one - I know we have at least 3 kicking around!) fit new bottom bushes at the front and do the seatbelts

and

Fit the tyres :P

I've also done a bit of experimenting with the bonnet badge and have come up with this.....

Paint seemed to stick pretty well, so I've got another one on the go at the moment that is going to be the colour I paint a large amount of the chromework eventually....

Go Dan!!
good luck with getting it MoTed, remember, if my scruffy moggy managed to pass then yours will! it doesn't matter what it looks like as long as it's driveable!

Weller 8 Spokes. 13" which is a pain put otherwise pukka wheels. Painted in Ford Glacier Blue - it kinda shifts between blue and grey depending on light conditions.

Spent most of today completely stripping them back (they were a vile yellow colour) and getting them sprayed up. They need a few more coats before I'm happy for them to be used though.

What you don't see is that the window channel at the back is b&q plastic W section kept in the right place with a couple of slivers of mahogany. Its a complete bodge but works suprisingly well. Couldn't afford proper channels at the time and its a low priority compared to MOT

possibly. Depends on whether the fiesta passes its MOT or not. If the fiesta passes then I'll improbably alternate between the two. If it fails then its mog all the way for a while. I've just substantially reduced my weekly mileage to around about 100 from 400 so I'm sure it'll have no problems coping but it's still a bit rough round the edges for a daily hack and even with an MOT it'll still need lots of work to turn it into a sensible daily.

I quite liked the 'vile yellow colour' when they were fitted to my van :-? , I suppose they did match the signs though, Not sure what the new ones match now.

Well done on the traveller though.

Were they the ones that came from your van? I didn't know that.....

Looking at the sig pics it looks pretty good. Look totally wrong on a white trav tho.
