what to keep off my maestro

Post by onza100 »

About a year ago I broke my 1.3 maestro lx. I know the engine flywheel and crank set up is not suited to the minor. Just wondered what bits are good to keep carb, dizzy etc?

Horn, battery, bulbs ! In fact that engine is not so very different - and if you have the rear oil seal it may very well be possible to use it in a Minor with slight modification. Otherwise - keep cylinder head/dizzy/carb/manifolds.

I'll have the crank breather plate and sump if they are going. As BM says, we are now converting a dozen 1275cc motors to accept the Maestro parts, however it demands more than slight modification. We had a demo block at the National, which caused a great deal of interest especially as we can now convert the mini 1275 to rwd. :D

It might be worth keeping the seatbelts...I'm sure you could get them to fit a minor.

I've got both those parts too, to which you're welcome - the engine might still be of use, now I think of it, all yours if it is

Best to have these up before you leave - as PaulK will testify
Older and more confused than I could ever imagine possible.
